Nova's Education Team
Jane Handforth
Jane Handforth has always been true to her artistic roots; she graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and before becoming interested in hair styling. After graduating from Victoria's Academy of Excellence in 1997, Jane quickly took her Provincial Hair Qualifying Exams and began taking as many courses as she could. In 2000, Jane moved to Prince Rupert and opened Cowlicks Studio, which focuses on cut and colour. Jane became part of the Keune Technical Team in 2005 and continues to express her creativity and talent both in her salon and during the classes that she teaches.

Ranjit Heer
Ranjit Heer has been makeup artist for 3 years, as well as a Lash It instructor for over 2 years. She has worked at international spa shows, doing demos and promoting the Lash It line. She also teaches spa classes, working out of Nova Beauty's Victoria, Burnaby and Nanaimo locations. Ranjit is always professional yet fun; her popular Lash It classes always sell out, usually at double the regular size!

Francine Lavallee-Murray
Francine, Key Technical Advisor for Joico on Vancouver Island, has been a licensed hair stylist for 22 years. She has been a member or Joico's education team for 3 years. She owns her own salon in Duncan, where she works behind the chair four days a week. Along with her strong knowledge of Joico product and The Vero Kpak Color Line, she brings practical experience from her work in the salon as well as at hair shows and Joico's advanced training in New York.

Meriah Sauer
Meriah Sauer has been an established member of Nova Beauty's sales team, and is now a certified Nail Tech and has recently completed her LCN educator training. She is also expanding her knowledge to include manicures, pedicures, and eyelash extensions. As Nova's first in-house educator, Meriah is available not only in LCN classes, but also as a one-on-one instructor and available in the Nova Beauty showrooms for LCN demonstrations.

Tina Mark
Tina Mark became our newest in-house LCN Educator in June 2008. She previously enjoyed a successful career in transportation before deciding she wanted to have a more "rewarding job" and became a Certified Esthetician and Nail Technician in January 2006. Tina has been a Nova Beauty sales consultant for over two years, while also offering full esthetic and nail services at her home-based studio in Nanaimo. She is committed to continuing her education within the beauty industry, learning advanced skills and techniques.
